Birthday/Private Event Manager
We are seeking an energetic, fun and organized Birthday Party/Private Events Manager for our weekend parties. Most of our parties include visits with our friendly farm animals, but can also include ponies and pony rides, tea parties or a craft theme.
Requirements:
Strong leadership skills - must be able to party goers’ attention and be confident in guiding adults and children throughout the party activities
High energy
Enthusiastic - must be able to make every party the best party ever!
Organizational skills
Time management - we have up to 3 parties on Saturday and/or Sunday, which means we need to keep to a tight time schedule!
Great with people of all ages!
Willing to be trained in appropriate animal handling. Note: Pony Parties will include an additional staff member trained specifically in pony rides
Description:
Event Prep
contact party hosts (parents/customers) via email/text/phone calls prior to their birthday party date to go over all details regarding what to expect, timing, how many attendees, etc.
Coordinate with additional weekend staff to create plan for a fun event
Day-of Prep/Tasks
Arrange/set up tables and chairs
Prepare craft if included
Prepare fire-pit if included
Set up trash cans with bags
Inspect bathrooms/port-a-potties for cleanliness
Greet hosts and assist in party set up/help decorate
Help to park guests
Day-of Activities
Greet guests
Lead animal interactions/craft activity, with additional staff if needed
Assist with cake/celebration activities
Share farm info with guests
Post Event
Assist party host(s) with loading supplies and gifts
Inspect bathrooms/port-a-potties for cleanliness
Make sure that all trash is in trash bags and inside trash cans
Return any craft supplies or other equipment
Make sure fire-pits are extinguished, if included
Weekend Parties are year-round and rain or shine either with appropriate outerwear, under our pavilion or inside our School House if inclement weather.
Bonus Skills:
Love the outdoors and animals
Knowledge of farm animals or a willingness to learn/be trained
